From the campsite, you can easily go for a walk or a ride.
Either on the Luberon Mount or in the « guarrigue » countryside, many trails are accessible. You can climb up to « Mourre Negre », the highest point of Luberon with its 1135 meters high or discover its surroundings. Some typical villages of Provence are also worth a visit : Vaugines, Ansouis, Lourmarin, La Tour d’Aigues, Bonnieux, Gordes, Roussillon, where some famous movies were shot. Aix en Provence and La Roque D’antheron are also famous for their festivals and cultural life.
Located in the district « Vaucluse », in the middle of the « Grand Luberon », Cucuron is a small village of 1850 inhabitants, which has kept its charm from olden days and where you’ll dicovers delightful sceneries.
Our village is very steeped in history and traditions : at the corner of its small alleys, you’ll discover its defensive walls, its elegant houses, its fountains and laundry, as well as its bell tower ans its church very well furnished with pieces of art and a remarquable orguan dating back to the 17th century. Don’t miss out to walk around the famous pond, shadowed by it’s century-old plane trees.
The closest places to have a swim are located at « l’étang de la bonde » , within 5 km, and at « la durance river, within 15km drive. The Mediterranean sea is located within 1 hour drive, where you’ll be able to enjoy sunbathing on the beatiful beaches of Cassis, Les Calanques or the blue Coast.
